I’m participating in my third consecutive Massachusetts Independent Comics Expo (M.I.C.E.) on September 29th! Support local comics scene, see the wide variety of panels and workshops, or pick the brains of local artists.

This annual tradition is hosted by The Art Institute of Boston in their Porter Square location. I’ll have art on the walls, a table on the floor and a demo in some lecture room.

Art Show

September 15th-October 16th, 8am-10pm | Original comic pages by exhibitors at MICE and New England area comic artists. I’m showing the last four pages of “Six-Year-Old Horse Thief“.

My Table

This is my first ever comics convention table. Selling print copies of Inky Stories, answering questions and generally goofing off. Please stop by and tell me everything I’m doing wrong.

Digital Tools for the Comic Book Artist

Workshop 2:30pm-3:20pm | Do you draw comics but are afraid of digital art programs? I share my time-tested digital techniques for cleaning up scans, prepping for print or web, color, production and lettering. Learn comics-specific tricks for Photoshop and Illustrator.

See You There

If you’d like to meet and support local comics artists, learn about art forms’s history, or are simply curious about this wide-ranging, flexible and entertaining art form, hang out with us at Porter Square on September 29th.
