I’m staring at how you incorporated people’s reflections in panes in the restaurant doors, using the negative spaces in the rendering. That’s ingenious. Congrats on the birth of your first web comic, Dave!

I’m glad someone I didn’t make up noticed that detail. When you’re alone working on pages too long, you tend to lose sight of how much subtle detail actually hits the audience. I thought I was a genius, yet you’re the first one to pick up on it. “If an obsessive detail doesn’t get noticed, did it even happen?”

Maybe that’s why there are two versions of that quote Alan Moore cited for Watchmen “God/The Devil is in the details”.
