Dark Spot on the Couch

Ha! It’s funny, but of course the office is based on somewhere specific. I was thinking “that background is weirdly generic for Dave!” Because it’s based on a real, probably really bland office.
One color note: the dark spot color on the couch reads as all-black (on my screen) and creates a dead spot that dominates the bottom panel and most of the lower quarter of the page.

You’re right about that couch — yikes! The entire story’s color (done about 10 years ago) is way too saturated and ill-conceived. I hadn’t yet wanted to color like Jean Giraud. I’d love to recolor with what I know now, but would rather apply those lessons to new work. Thanks for chiming in!
